seeks a Certified Nurse Midwife for locum tenens coverage in a Florida ER. In this role, you will deliver urgent and emergency care to women and newborns, manage obstetric emergencies, perform assessments and procedures, and collaborate with physicians and ER staff to ensure safe, timely care. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostics, stabilizing acute conditions, documenting in the EMR, and supporting patient education and discharge planning. Responsibilities Provide emergency care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced ER setting Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostics, and develop treatment plans Collaborate closely with ER physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure timely, high-quality care Stabilize and manage acute and critical conditions according to clinical guidelines Document encounters accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure proper handoffs Adhere to hospital policies, risk management, and regulatory standards Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care Participate in shift-based coverage as part of a locum tenens assignment, maintaining flexibility with scheduling Required Skills Emergency obstetric care Triage and acute assessment Fetal monitoring and interpretation Neonatal resuscitation Labor and delivery management Procedural skills in obstetrics Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary team collaboration Patient and family education Clinical risk management and compliance
