Job Description:
Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care. Conduct routine and high-quality assessments, examinations, and preventive screenings. Manage low-risk pregnancies and perform vaginal deliveries within scope of practice. Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate follow-up care. Educate patients regarding pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, family planning, and preventive health. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure seamless patient care. Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support patient safety standards. Promote wellness and disease prevention through evidence-based care and patient education.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Advanced knowledge of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, and gynecologic care. Knowledge of evidence-based midwifery practices, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards. Understanding of preventative healthcare, family planning, breastfeeding support, and women's wellness services. Understanding of quality improvement principles and population health initiatives. Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills. Ability to manage low-risk pregnancies and provide labor, delivery, and postpartum care within scope of practice. Excellent communication and patient education skills with diverse patient populations. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs in a fast-paced clinical setting. Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills. Proficient in documentation, care coordination, and healthcare technology.
Certifications and Licensure Required:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Current Florida Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license DEA registration (or ability to obtain). Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Pay Range:
