Job Description
Certified Nurse Midwife, Per Diem Birthing Center Saint Peter's University Hospital is looking to hire a per diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) for its growing midwifery practice.
This position is ideal for an enthusiastic candidate who is looking toparticipate in a team-based model and values a variety of responsibilities.

Examples of typical responsibilities include:
- Caring for intrapartum patients at the free-standing MaryV. O'Shea Birth Center on campus and/or Labor and Delivery.
- Managing the care and giving direct client services forprivate birth center patients as well as a panel of midwifery patients at theFamily Health Center.
- Being actively engaged in the hospital for triage andcoverage of labor and delivery as needed.
- Providing education and expertise regarding meaningfulpositioning and physiologic birth.
- Maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship withcolleagues, including attendings and residents.
Requirements:
Graduation from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) (formerly known as the American College of Nurse-Midwives Division of Accreditation). Master's or doctoral degree. Current active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first certification for which they are eligible. Current active licensure to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the nurse midwife category as per the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners. STABLE Program Certification preferred. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certified. Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.Salary Range:
80.00 - 80.00 USD We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
