A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.
Liberty POST is currently seeking a motivated and energetic Early Childhood Music Therapist for per diem employment to work with children who are birth-5 years old through Early Intervention and Preschool Special Education programs. Immediate positions are available throughout Western New York. Liberty POST has offered its clients a range of high-quality and individualized services since 1994. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate, monitor and track child's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Test and evaluate child's abilities to determine realistic goals. Record information on the initial evaluation, treatment, and progress in a timely manner using Electronic Medical Record system. Proficient at writing detailed analysis and reports. Effectively organize and maintain confidentially of child's records and other documentations. Follow all state laws and regulations as it pertains to Early Intervention, CPSE/CSE special education.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
