Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Job description Harmony Creative Therapy is seeking a Board Certified Music Therapist to join our incredible team of professionals starting August or September of 2026. The therapist will be responsible for scheduling their caseload, traveling to the assigned location, conducting individual and group sessions, documenting thorough session notes and annual review reports, attending team and staff meetings, and consulting with families and treatment teams as indicated. The primary age of our clients is between 3 years old to 21 years old. Service locations are across the greater Rochester, NY and Fingerlakes areas. The therapist should have strong skills in the areas of accompaniment skills on guitar and piano, singing, clinical insight, creative thinking, and working with all types of personalities and teams. Excellent writing skills are necessary to effectively document progress and communicate with client team. The therapist will receive weekly supervision assistance. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or higher in Music Therapy from an AMTA accredited program Board Certification through the Certification Board of Music Therapists (CBMT) (or intent to take the exam within 6 months of employment) Additional licensure as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in NY a plus.
