Category Schools - Music Therapist Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact through music therapy by supporting students' growth and well-being in a diverse educational setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced music therapist seeking meaningful, focused work with school-aged children. Your expertise will be instrumental in empowering students to achieve their fullest potential. Start your assignment on July 29, 2026, and continue through May 27, 2027, serving one day per week on campus. You'll work closely with a small caseload—currently seven children, seen every other week (averaging three to four students per day)—offering personalized, evidence-based interventions that enhance learning and development. What you'll need to succeed: Current and active National Certification as a Music Therapist Prior experience in school or pediatric settings preferred Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Reliability and professionalism Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Compliance with district credentialing, including fingerprint-based background check and drug screening Dedication to promoting inclusivity and positive outcomes for diverse learners Your responsibilities: Provide individualized and group music therapy sessions to students, utilizing creative approaches tailored to each child's needs Maintain detailed session records and progress reports Collaborate with school staff to create supportive, integrative strategies for student success Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed Adapt activities and therapy plans as caseload or student needs evolve Benefits of this opportunity include the flexibility of a one-day-per-week schedule and the fulfillment of making a direct, positive impact in students' school experiences.
