A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Job Description

Healing Ark Home Health Care is seeking reliable and compassionate Licensed Music Therapists who will be responsible for providing professional and quality music therapy within their scope of practice to pediatric and adult clients with disabilities in their place of residence.
Requirements:
  • Licensed Music Therapist
  • CPR certification
  • Professional Liability Insurance
  • Proof of Car Insurance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must have all necessary music supplies
  • Ability to work flexible days and hours
Preferred:
  • Experience with Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS) Program under the Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) is a plus!
  • Experience working with client's with multiple disabilities
  • Home Health experience
Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement client treatment plans unique to their individual needs
  • Completes evaluations for new client services
  • Justification of continued services
  • Maintain detailed treatment records
  • Quarterly Reports for the treatment plan
