This exciting contract opportunity seeks a certified Music Therapist to collaborate with staff and support a group of children through tailored therapeutic sessions. Bring your expertise and creativity to a supportive educational setting and watch your work make a difference.
Key Qualifications:
Active Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential is required Experience in school-based or pediatric music therapy highly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, parents, and school staff Ability to create customized therapy plans for students with varying needs and backgrounds Successful completion of a background check (fingerprinting) and drug screening in accordance with district policy
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide music therapy to a small caseload of 7 students, ages and specific needs will be provided Deliver sessions every other week, serving 3 to 4 children per visit, on a one day per week schedule Adapt and implement evidence-based music interventions to foster social, motor, and academic growth Track student progress and document therapy outcomes in accordance with school guidelines Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate music therapy into individualized education programs
