Category Schools - Music Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Music Therapist in an educational setting. Key Qualifications:
Active national certification as a Music Therapist Experience supporting students in a school or pediatric setting preferred Comfort working with children in small group or one-on-one sessions Completion of required fingerprint background check and drug screening, or willingness to obtain Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and staff
Role Overview:
Provide music therapy services to a caseload of seven students, aged elementary through middle school Each week, offer therapeutic sessions to 3-4 children, rotating every other week to reach all assigned students Develop individualized and group treatment plans tailored to each child's educational and developmental goals Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages students' musical and personal growth Maintain accurate records and communicate progress with school staff as well as families Adapt therapy methods and techniques to best support a diverse group of students
