A Music Therapist directs and coordinates recreational activities for people with disabilities or illness to help them improve their emotional and physical well-being, improve motor skills and increase confidence. Leads activities involving music, instruments, and sound. Assists patients with disabilities to learn to use public resources such as parks and public transportation, and integrate in the community. Works with people of all ages, in schools, nursing homes, clinics and other healthcare facilities, or in parks and recreation departments.

Monday-Friday, school day hours
Pay:
$45/hr (weekly pay + benefits, W2 employer)

Health, vision, dental, 401k Duties Provide individualized and group music therapy services to students with disabilities Use evidence-based music therapy interventions to support students' communication, social-emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and functional goals
Requirements:
Active MT-BC (Music Therapist - Board Certified) credential required Degree in Music Therapy or completion of an approved music therapy education and clinical training program Experience working with children or students with disabilities preferred School-based or special education experience preferred
