Immediate Hire Newly Licensed Neurophysiologist welcome to Apply. Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Surgical Neurophysiologist to join our dynamic neurodiagnostic team. This vital role involves performing complex intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) procedures to assist in surgical procedures involving the nervous system, ensuring patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and advanced neurodiagnostic techniques, contributing to high-quality patient care within a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers an opportunity to work at a Level I Trauma Center, supporting critical neurological assessments and diagnostics across diverse patient populations. Responsibilities Conduct intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring using specialized equipment such as EEG, electromyography (EMG), and other neurodiagnostic devices during surgical procedures. Interpret real-time electrophysiological data to identify potential neurological risks and communicate findings promptly to the surgical team. Operate and maintain advanced neurodiagnostic equipment, ensuring proper calibration, safety, and aseptic techniques. Assist with preoperative patient preparation, including reviewing medical histories, understanding surgical plans, and setting up monitoring systems. Monitor vital signs and neurological responses continuously, documenting changes accurately for postoperative review. Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain detailed records of electrophysiology testing results, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and standards. Stay current with advances in neurodiagnostic technology and participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in health sciences or related field; advanced certification in neurophysiology (such as R.EEG T or equivalent) preferred. Proven experience in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring within a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity setting. Extensive knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, and neurological diagnostics. Proficiency with electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, and other electrophysiology testing modalities. Strong understanding of medical terminology, neurological devices, and diagnostic test interpretation. Ability to operate complex medical equipment safely while adhering to aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to manage emergency situations efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
