Category Imaging - Nuclear Medicine Job Type Contract A skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed for a contract opportunity specializing in general Nuclear Medicine procedures. This role focuses exclusively on diagnostic imaging using nuclear medicine techniques, with no PET/CT responsibilities. You'll be part of an experienced imaging team supporting high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm No nights, weekends, or on-call required
Qualifications:
Completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (ARRT-N or NMTCB) Valid state licensure or eligibility if required by state regulations Strong knowledge of general nuclear medicine protocols and equipment Detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide compassionate care in a fast-paced healthcare setting
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality general nuclear medicine imaging studies under established protocols Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals with strict adherence to safety procedures Properly operate imaging equipment and perform quality control checks Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals on diagnostic procedures Ensure accurate patient identification, thorough medical history review, and precise documentation Maintain up-to-date patient records and imaging logs in compliance with regulatory standards Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures and what to expect
