Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care (PACU-RN). This contract role is ideal for an experienced nurse who thrives in a fast-paced recovery room environment, with a commitment to providing high-quality postoperative care to patients.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid, unencumbered RN license Previous PACU nursing experience required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to stay calm and focused in urgent situations Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting systems
Responsibilities:
Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures Conduct frequent patient assessments and manage vital signs Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate closely with anesthesia providers and surgical teams Provide emotional support and education to patients and families Document all care delivery and patient progress accurately Respond rapidly to any postoperative complications or emergencies Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times This contract nursing assignment includes the chance to work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals in a dynamic setting.
