Job Description As a Security Guard Full Time Deterrence Patrol in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and work with integrity as part of an agile, reliable, and caring team.

AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading and shipping areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized entry.
Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, following visitor and driver entry procedures, and maintaining accurate logs as required by site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Document incidents, observations, patrol activities, and policy violations in clear, timely reports while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
