The role involves preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals to patients through various methods such as injection, oral intake, or inhalation. The technologist is responsible for conducting imaging procedures, processing diagnostic images using specialized equipment, performing laboratory testing, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care through direct interaction with patients. Continuous professional development through medical and technical education is integral to maintaining and enhancing their skills, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and diagnostic results. Qualifications Technical Program in Nuclear Medicine General Radiographer, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Radiation Therapy Technologist Nuclear Medication Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
