Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine techniques to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. Your expertise will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative patient care while working with cutting-edge medical imaging technology. Responsibilities Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals accurately, ensuring proper dosage and patient safety. Operate sophisticated imaging equipment such as SPECT scanners, PET scanners, CT, and DEXA scan devices to produce detailed diagnostic images. Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans and DEXA scans for bone density assessment. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Assist with patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining aseptic techniques during injections and imaging processes. Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently. Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to interpret images, ensuring optimal quality for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine radiographic procedures with minimal to no supervision, providing diagnostic imaging care across all patient age groups (neonatal through geriatric). Complete all assigned duties in accordance with department protocols under the general direction of the Diagnostic Imaging leadership team.Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited Radiology program Completion of a certified Nuclear Medicine Technology program at an AMA-approved school (or equivalent combination of training/experience accepted by accrediting agencies) Minimum of 1 year of experience with Nuclear Medicine equipment and procedures Active New Mexico state license required Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Current Nuclear Medicine certification Current BLS certification (if not current at hire, must be obtained within 3 months) Why Join Revv Staffing?
