Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

Job Description Operates Nuclear Medicine apparatus and auxiliary equipment. Produces diagnostic scans and outputs to film/workstation for physician interpretation. Participates and has responsibility for emergency on call. Job Responsibility Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure. Prepares patients for examination. Explains procedure and sets up equipment to administer mammogram procedure in a timely fashion. Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition completed by the Radiologist. Performs various Nuclear Medicine exams according to established standards, procedures and procedures of the division. Labels images for identification and maintains required records. Completes necessary record-keeping. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions. Job Qualification Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program, required. Current New York State License as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, required. Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and/or certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), required. Previous nuclear medicine technology experience, preferred.

Shift Details:

Tuesday/Thursday, 10 hour shifts. Occasional travel to other sites.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). The salary range for this position is $91400.00-$158100.00/year. Salary reflects full-time employment and would be adjusted for part-time or per diem employment based on hours worked.
