Responsibilities Perform high‑quality diagnostic and occasional therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Deliver developmentally appropriate care to patients across the lifespan, including bariatric and cardiac populations. Coordinate daily workflow by scheduling exams, preparing imaging rooms, and managing radiopharmaceutical orders. Calculate, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals and IV injections with accuracy and adherence to safety guidelines. Assess and prepare patients for procedures, review medical histories, and document all relevant clinical information. Operate Nuclear Medicine imaging systems and evaluate image quality to ensure optimal diagnostic value. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment to support efficient daily operations. Perform routine equipment quality control and manage radioactive materials in compliance with DHEC regulations. Respond to patient emergencies using appropriate first‑aid measures and established protocols. Adhere to HIPAA, infection control, radiation safety, and all applicable regulatory standards. Support departmental operations by performing additional duties as assigned, including participation in emergency response activities.
