Job Description
Company Overview Cardiac Clinic is a privately owned cardiology practice located in central Austin, dedicated to providing exceptional cardiovascular care and services to our patients. NO weekends, NO holidays, NO call! Summary We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Cardiology to join our team at Cardiac Clinic in Austin. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver high-quality cardiac care through through accurate, appropriate nuclear medicine imaging. Responsibilities Perform nuclear medicine stress tests (lexiscan or stress) using best practices and following all regulatory guidelines and requirements. Adhere to IAC imaging protocols. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during procedures. Maintain and calibrate nuclear medicine equipment. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as per established protocols. Document patient information and procedure outcomes accurately. Adhere to safety standards and regulations in handling radioactive materials. Educate patients about procedures and answer any questions they may have. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Proven experience in cardiac imaging techniques, particularly cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols. We are IAC certified. Familiarity with Cardio MD camera is a plus, but is not required. Call-To-Action We are looking for EITHER a full-time position (defined as 30-32 hours per week) OR a part-time position to work a minimum of two days per week.
