Conduct thorough preoperative patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and physiology evaluation to determine optimal anesthesia plans. Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures, adjusting anesthesia levels as necessary to maintain stability and safety. Manage airway interventions and airway management techniques efficiently during surgical procedures, including advanced airway techniques when required. Respond promptly to emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress, utilizing advanced life support protocols. Ensure strict compliance with nursing procedures, HIPAA regulations, and hospital policies related to patient care and medical documentation. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively, including anesthesia machines, patient monitors, and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems like Epic or similar platforms. Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to deliver seamless perioperative care. Maintain detailed medical records in accordance with NCQA standards and hospital policies while ensuring patient confidentiality at all times. Implement infection prevention protocols and uphold healthcare safety standards to promote optimal patient outcomes. Experience Active New York license required Two years of experience required Trauma experience required No OB, Hearts or Liver Transplants 12/13-hr shifts; must be able to work Mondays and Fridays consistently. Proven critical care experience within hospital ICU settings or equivalent environments demonstrating strong patient management skills. Extensive background in anesthesiology practices including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia techniques such as nerve blocks, and obstetric anesthesia. Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to cardiovascular emergencies such as cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. Familiarity with perioperative care workflows from pre-op assessment through post-anesthesia recovery stages. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology related to anesthesia administration, medication management, and injection procedures. Compliance with state nursing practice acts and nursing policy standards while maintaining high-quality patient care standards. Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like Epic for accurate documentation of procedures and patient information.
