Job Description

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Orthopedic - Trauma NP/PA, you will help orthopedic patients receive comprehensive, expert care from admission through recovery so they can achieve optimal surgical outcomes and improved quality of life. In this pivotal role, you will drive orthopedic patient management and surgical support. You will be expected to perform first assistance in complex orthopedic surgeries, conduct inpatient rounds, coordinate interdisciplinary care with medical and trauma teams, and provide timely consultations for ER patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans. Additionally, you'll manage diagnostic testing, medication administration, and actively contribute to quality assurance initiatives within our dynamic multidisciplinary environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess proven experience in orthopedic patient management, surgical first assist capabilities, and a strong collaborative spirit to excel within a fast-paced trauma setting. Your expertise in diagnosing, treating, and coordinating comprehensive orthopedic care will be crucial for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Requirements Required PA Requirements:
Degree as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program Must hold and maintain: a.) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License, b.) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant. Valid DEA registration. Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff
NP Requirements:
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) Graduate of accredited program for Nurse Practitioners Compact state or Arizona RN license Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license Must hold and maintain National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations: a.) NP-AACN, b.) NP-AANP, c.) NP-ANCC Valid DEA registration RNFA Must meet credentialing criteria for medical staff Where You'll Work Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed provider group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 350 providers and 850 support staff who cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 sub-specialty services. The physicians and APPs provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students.
