Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Hospitalist Infectious Diseases specialist to join us part time our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes through comprehensive care, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and application of the latest medical practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health while working within a supportive and innovative environment. Responsibilities Part Time position at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center only 2 weekends a month Working under close supervision for follow up Infectious Disease visits Collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals including internal medicine, critical care, microbiology, pharmacy, and other specialists to optimize patient care. Educate patients and their families about infectious diseases, treatment options, prevention strategies, and post-discharge care plans. Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records (EHR systems) such as Epic or similar platforms, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Recommended knowledge of infectious disease diagnosis, treatment modalities, and emerging trends in the field. Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic) Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals across multiple disciplines including cardiology, pulmonology, oncology, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), dermatology, radiology, surgery, anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and more. Knowledge of CPT coding procedures for billing purposes related to infectious disease services. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes.
Pay:
