Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Hospital & Post-Acute Medicine Downtown Health Testing Center Culver City, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $130,000 - $180,000 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Malpractice insurance Qualifications Teamwork Skilled nursing facility experience Driver's License Nurse Practitioner (NP) Advanced practice provider Physician Assistant License (California) Post-acute care experience Full Job Description Position Overview We are hiring a motivated NP or PA to take primary responsibility for our inpatient census at Southern California Hospital at Culver City , working in close collaboration with Dr. Katiraie as the attending physician. This is a Monday-Friday role. You set your own rounding schedule within the day, which allows you to coordinate around hospital workflow, family meetings, and discharge planning rather than a fixed clock-in time. Documentation can be completed remotely, so you are not tied to the hospital once patient care is done. Expected census is approximately 12-20 hospital patients per day, depending on admissions. As the role matures, there is opportunity to add facility rounding at our skilled nursing and assisted living sites, and to cover Hollywood or Van Nuys as needed — but this will be discussed together, not assigned. Responsibilities Round daily on hospitalized patients under the attending physician's supervision Perform admissions, daily progress visits, and discharge evaluations Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies Manage medications and respond to changes in patient condition Coordinate with hospitalists, specialists, case management, and nursing Communicate clearly with patients and families, including goals-of-care conversations Facilitate safe discharges and transitions of care (hospital → SNF → home), including timely handoff to our outpatient and TCM team Complete accurate, timely, and billable clinical documentation Respond to appropriate calls and messages from the hospital during the workday We handle all coding, billing, and credentialing paperwork. Your job is patient care and documentation. Documentation & Technology Hospital documentation in the hospital's EMR (training and login setup provided) PointClickCare (PCC) for any skilled nursing facility patients Practice communication through a HIPAA-compliant messaging platform — no personal cell phone required for facility contact Prior experience with PCC or hospital EMRs is a plus, not a requirement Compensation & Benefits $130,000-$200,000+ per year, scaled to experience and daily volume Providers who choose to carry a larger census or add facility rounding earn more Professional malpractice insurance paid by the practice Optional paid weekend hospital coverage for additional income Flexible daily schedule with remote documentation Direct physician support and mentorship in acute and post-acute medicine Optional Weekend Coverage Weekends are not required. Providers who want additional income can pick up paid weekend hospital rounding on a rotating, voluntary basis. This is a genuine advantage for someone looking to build earnings quickly. Who We Are Looking For Licensed NP or PA in California with active DEA (or eligibility) Experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, post-acute, or SNF care preferred Comfortable managing acutely ill and medically complex adults Self-directed, organized, and responsive Confident and kind in communication with patients, families, and nursing staff Detail-oriented with documentation Reliable, takes ownership of their patients, and wants to be part of a long-term team Strong candidates without extensive inpatient experience will be considered.
