Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) for a full-time 26-week locum tenens assignment supporting two nationally recognized Level IV NICUs in San Francisco, California. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team caring for critically ill newborns and infants in a high-acuity environment.

26 weeks from start date
Schedule:
Full-time only
Shifts:
3 x 12-hour shifts per week, maybe block 6 on / 8 off potentially Days, nights, weekends, and holidays required May float between two facilities located within 10 miles of each other Practice Setting Hospital-based Level
IV NICU EPIC
electronic medical record Position Overview The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will serve as a key member of the neonatal care team, providing comprehensive inpatient care for newborns and infants from birth through one year of age. The provider will work in one or both Level IV NICUs, caring for critically ill patients requiring advanced medical and surgical management.
Responsibilities include:
Provide primary inpatient neonatal care within the NICU Collaborate with neonatologists, surgeons, physicians, APPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary staff Manage critically ill newborns and infants with complex medical and surgical conditions Participate in patient care activities in accordance with departmental protocols and productivity expectations May be cross-trained to assist in the newborn nursery as needed ECMO patients are primarily managed by NICU fellows; however, providers may care for patients immediately before and after ECMO support Qualifications Required Active California license, NP or PA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Minimum 2-3 years of recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience If you're an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner looking for your next high-acuity locum opportunity in California, we'd love to hear from you.
