Job Description
Join an established neurology team seeking an Armenian-speaking Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our outpatient clinic on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking for a predictable outpatient schedule, meaningful patient relationships, and an opportunity to develop experience in neurology. Our practice primarily cares for older adults with dementia and memory disorders , as well as patients with headaches/migraines, stroke, seizures, neuropathy, and other neurologic conditions. Schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM
- 4:30 PM Flexible schedule
- 2 to 4 days per week No weekends or overnight call No hospital rounding Compensation $75
- 85 per hour, depending on experience
Required Qualifications:
Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in California Fluent/conversational Armenian sufficient to communicate directly with Armenian-speaking patients and families At least 1 year of clinical experience in Internal Medicine , either outpatient or hospital-based Comfortable independently obtaining histories, performing examinations, reviewing medications, and developing treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician Preferred Qualifications (but not required): Previous neurology experience, particularly with older adults and dementia/memory disorders Spanish language fluency Familiarity with Athenahealth/Athena EHR Role The PA/NP will evaluate and follow patients with a variety of neurologic conditions.Responsibilities include:
Obtaining medical and neurologic histories and performing examinations Reviewing laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic results Medication management Follow-up care for established patients Patient and family education Coordinating care with the neurologist and other providers Longitudinal management of patients with chronic neurologic conditions Prior neurology experience is not required. We are willing to train a strong Internal Medicine APP who is interested in learning outpatient neurology and dementia care.Pay:
$75.00- $85.
