Position Overview:
As a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Coast Gastroenterology, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a hospital environment at Centinela Hospital. Your responsibilities will encompass diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, prescribing medications, conducting thorough physical examinations, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Expertise:
Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses with a focus on delivering evidence-based care. Conduct comprehensive physical examinations for patients across diverse age groups. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies. Prescribe necessary medications and treatments based on the patient's condition.
Patient Management:
Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care. Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and effective management of chronic conditions. Foster a patient-centric approach, building strong rapport and trust with individuals under your care.
Collaboration and Communication:
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed. Maintain open communication with collaborating physicians and specialists to ensure seamless coordination of patient care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
Leadership and Adaptability:
Demonstrate strong leadership qualities in a fast-paced environment. Thrive in a hospital setting, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields. Proven ability to build rapport with patients, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment.
