This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive patient care across various clinical settings, including clinic and hospital rounds. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services. You will play a vital role in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards. Cardiology experience preferred but not essential. 2 clinic days per week. Duties Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and identify medical issues. Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based protocols, including pain management and critical care interventions. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) system Practice Fusion for accurate documentation, data collection, and medical records management. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in clinic and hospital settings. Assist with diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging or laboratory tests; interpret results within the context of patient care plans. Participate in clinical research studies or clinical trials to advance evidence-based practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Support discharge planning, post-acute care coordination for appropriate patient populations. Engage in health coaching and patient education to promote wellness, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current certification from an accredited body. Demonstrated experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU/critical care settings, or outpatient clinics. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical coding including

ICD-10/ICD-9/CPT

coding standards. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute care environments. Experience performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, intubation assistance, ventilator management, and airway management techniques. Background in managing complex cases involving trauma care, infectious diseases, pain management protocols, or neonatal ventilator support is desirable. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to interpret diagnostic data accurately. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of protected health information (PHI). Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams across hospital units including ICU, emergency room, hospice & palliative care settings.
