$73-85 per hour, depending on experience About Family Health Centers, Inc. Family Health Centers, Inc. is an independent Rural Health Clinic committed to providing high-quality, compassionate primary care to rural and underserved communities. We are expanding our Orosi clinic and are seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to help grow the practice and establish lasting relationships with our patients. Position Summary The Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient Rural Health Clinic setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who enjoys building a patient panel, practicing evidence-based medicine, and making a meaningful impact in an underserved community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management. Perform patient evaluations, physical examinations, and appropriate diagnostic assessments. Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with California law and clinic protocols. Provide patient education regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans. Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic health record. Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in building and growing the patient panel through exceptional patient care and community engagement. Qualifications Current California Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in good standing. National certification as an FNP or PA. Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain). Current BLS certification. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. New graduates are encouraged to apply; primary care or Rural Health Clinic experience is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care. Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Experience caring for underserved or rural populations. Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience. Paid holidays.
