Job Description

We are currently looking for a per-diem NP/PA who can pick up potential openings on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Restpadd Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) is a 16-bed inpatient facility located in Red Bluff, California. The 24-hour facility provides acute care to patients with mental health disabilities. We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who will work collaboratively with our Medical Director/Psychiatrist and an interdisciplinary treatment team to diagnose and treat patients with mental health disabilities.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides psychiatric assessments, medication monitoring, and continuity of care. Responsible for performing basic screening, diagnostic treatment, rehabilitative and supportive services as a member of a primary psychiatric health care team for acute inpatient clients.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform initial psychiatric evaluations for patients admitted to Restpadd PHF.
  • Perform follow-up psychiatric assessments and discharge summaries for PHF patients
  • Develop diagnoses, treatment plans and prognoses for evaluations
  • Prescribe, write and sign orders of medications for the treatment of patients including Schedule
II, III, IV
controlled substances without advance approval.
  • Order and interpret all clinically necessary diagnostic and laboratory studies
  • Participate regularly in interdisciplinary plan meetings and other leadership meetings of PHF as directed or requested by PHF Medical Director.
  • Function as agent of PHF Medical Director per Med Staff bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Restpadd
PHF KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Interact with patients in such a way as to foster positive mental health and personal growth.
  • Work in collaboration with intra and inter agency professionals, as needed, for effective patient care and treatment outcome.
  • Work effectively and respectively within a clinical team environment.
  • Document all patient information and services provided into EMR.
  • Monitor documentation to ensure a professional product delivery.
  • Basic computer programs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to be highly efficient, organized and accurate in work
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgement and decision-making skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a physical exam, drug screen, and have an annual TB test.
    Pay:
    $1,000.00 - $1,250.00 per day
