In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Your expertise will support comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment plans, and health education for diverse patient populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills to improve patient outcomes while working within a collaborative and innovative healthcare environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to determine health status and medical needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with current clinical guidelines and best practices. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following proper protocols and safety standards. Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections with precision and sterile technique. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians, specialists in gastroenterology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, and other disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Engage in clinical research activities or quality improvement initiatives to advance evidence-based practices. Assist in discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient recovery pathways across inpatient and outpatient settings. Support patients with complex needs such as hospice & palliative medicine, memory care for dementia patients, or post-acute care transitions. Experience Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and order entry. Extensive clinical experience in areas such as emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or medical-surgical units. Hands-on skills in procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, catheterization, NG tube feeding, and sterile processing techniques. Background working with diverse populations including pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), geriatrics (memory care), assisted living residents, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-9/10 for accurate documentation and billing purposes. Experience managing acute pain with appropriate interventions or pain management protocols is preferred. Familiarity with occupational health protocols such as triage for urgent care or workplace injuries; experience in telehealth delivery is a plus. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing or medical imaging techniques like sonography or basic medical imaging tools.
