Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Inpatient Cardiology
Crystal River, FL 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | Day Shift | Inpatient Only | New Graduates Welcome Citrus Cardiology Consultants is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hospital-based cardiology team in Crystal River, Florida. This is a 100% inpatient cardiology position offering a 7 days on / 7 days off daytime schedule with no outpatient clinic responsibilities. The role is ideal for an APP who enjoys hospital-based medicine and wants a predictable block schedule with extended time off throughout the year. You'll work closely with our cardiologists and clinical team while caring for a broad cardiovascular patient population. Experienced APPs are encouraged to apply, and new graduate NPs and PAs with a strong interest in cardiovascular medicine are welcome. Our team provides support, mentorship, and hands-on training as you develop your cardiology expertise. Position Highlights

What You'll Do
Round on hospitalized cardiovascular patients
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
Perform inpatient cardiovascular consultations and follow-up evaluations
Review laboratory results, EKGs, imaging, and other diagnostic testing
Develop and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with attending cardiologists
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans
Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the hospital care team
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Qualifications
Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Florida license or ability to obtain prior to start
Cardiology, hospital, or acute care experience preferred but not required
New graduate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants are encouraged to apply
Strong interest in cardiovascular medicine
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
