We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team as an independent contractor ( 1099 ). In this vital role, you will deliver high-quality outpatient care to adults navigating co-occurring substance use and mental health challenges. Working within a collaborative, team-based ecosystem, you will utilize evidence-based practices to ensure participant safety, well-being, and progress.

Contract Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, including buprenorphine and naltrexone, as needed. Monitor patient progress, response to treatment, and recovery outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive, integrated care. Provide patient education on mental health, substance use, and relapse prevention. Assess and manage psychiatric crises while ensuring trauma-informed, culturally competent care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and participate in weekly team meetings.
Qualifications:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN/DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Idaho. Active PMHNP license and prescriptive authority in Idaho. DEA registration. Experience treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders strongly preferred.
