About KRRC The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation. Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities. About the Facility For more than 125 years, our partner has been part of the healthcare story of central Kansas. What began as a community hospital in 1897 has grown into an 18-bed Critical Access Hospital providing inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care, along with rural health clinics serving Ellsworth and surrounding communities. The organization combines the personal feel of community healthcare with modern medical resources, including emergency services, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, rehabilitation, telemedicine, and rural primary care. The organization continues to invest in its facilities and services, including a new Health and Wellness Center expansion. For physicians, that means the opportunity to practice broad, meaningful medicine in a supportive environment while making a difference that is easy to see. Their mission, "Improving Lives," reflects its commitment to providing quality care while remaining deeply connected to the people and communities it serves. The community Imagine building your career in a community where you can know your patients, become part of the community, and still have time for life outside of medicine. Located in the heart of central Kansas, this welcoming community offers the advantages of small-town living - short commutes, friendly neighbors, community connections, and a relaxed pace - while providing convenient access to larger metro areas. Outdoor recreation is a major part of the area, with Kanopolis Lake and the Smoky Hills nearby. Residents enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, and exploring the area's unique landscape. This community also offers local schools, parks, recreation programs, community events, and opportunities to get involved. For a physician and family looking for a place to put down roots, this community offers something increasingly difficult to find: a place where you can be known, get involved, and make a genuine difference. And that's one of the greatest advantages of practicing in a community like this. Come for the opportunity. Stay for the community.
