Emergency Medicine NP/PA | 4-Day Workweek | Critical Access Hospital | NHSC Eligible Our County Health Center is offering a fantastic work schedule for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) with emergency department (ED) experience. Our progressive facility is known for quality of care provided to our community and is seeking a dedicated, collaborative candidate with a love for performance improvement to join our amazing team. Qualifications Successfully completed a recognized APRN, NP, or PA program Valid Kansas license Experience in an emergency department setting is required Mandatory certifications include: ACLS, ATLS and PALS; optional certification in NRP is beneficial Responsibilities Four weekday shifts, including covering the County HC ED one overnight shift every other week Provide weekday fill-in coverage for Doctors Without Delay(DWD) walk-in clinic, as needed ED and inpatient rounding Benefits Four weekday shifts Benefits and wellness package NHSC eligible site for loan repayment opportunities Other negotiable bonus incentives About KRRC The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation. Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.

We are a progressive medical facility in Northwest Kansas known for our quality of care, commitment to maintaining and restoring health, and enhancing the dignity of life from beginning to end. A 22-bed critical access hospital, we serve the needs of close to 8,000 residents and surrounding counties. We boast state-of-the-art cardiac, physical and occupational therapy facilities including a therapy pool, as well as in house CT and MRI, and 24-hours lab and imaging. Our multiple specialty clinics include orthopedics (total joint replacement), cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, interventional radiology, wound care, and pain management. Our Urgent Care clinic is staffed Monday-Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. to care for our community immediate needs.
Our Community:
Our community was established in 1888 with the advent of the railway in the 1880s. Located less than 10 miles north of the Saline River, this Northwest Kansas town lies in the Smoky Hills region. This small-town hosts great outdoor amenities including a local swimming pool, playground, basketball court, a nine-hole golf course, and local Lake where you can fish or play nine holes of disc golf. While agriculture and oil production are the heart of the economy, our community supports a hospital, public and parochial schools, a grocery store, multiple churches, and many small businesses. We are home to Brant's Market, named one of the 8 Wonders of Kansas Commerce, providing handcrafted bologna and sausages since 1922. Other establishments include a local diner for the best burgers in Western Kansas, delicious Mexican fare, and a locally owned "Mom and Pop" coffee shop. Each year, enjoy the Paradise Creek Festival and Rodeo where you can enjoy various food vendors, arts and crafts, turtle races, a pancake feed, music, and two evenings of rodeo action.
