Wellness Clinic Youth Center (North Garfton, MA)
Job Position:
Locum PRN Nurse Practitioner (Contract/1099/Independent Contractor) Contract PRN NP needed for ongoing coverage at a campus based student services medical clinic serving the youth of a residential career education program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps adolescents improve the quality of their lives through career technical and academic training Coverage is for one day per week on an ongoing basis as soon as possible. The hours at the clinic fall between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Flexible scheduling. Excellent hourly contract compensation. Professional liability insurance provided. Students seen at the clinic range in age from 16-24. (The clinic is not open to the public.) Care includes the following: Physical exams, sick visits, minor acute care, hypertension, diabetes, GERD, UTIs, URIs, STDs, ADHD, birth control, minor sports injuries, allergies . Collaboration with center's medical staff, mental health staff, and substance abuse specialists as necessary.
Job Requirement:
Active and unrestricted state medical license in MA Experience in providing medical care to adolescent patients, including performing medical procedures and prescribing medications Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work 4.75 hours per week as needed Able to start week as soon as possible Prior experience as a locums NP is a plus Valid Federal DEA license
