Full Job Description An established Infectious Disease private practice is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and specialized environment providing inpatient Infectious Disease consultation and management. The Nurse Practitioner will primarily provide Infectious Disease coverage at affiliated hospitals in Baltimore County and Carroll County , where our practice maintains daily coverage. Occasional coverage at an affiliated hospital in Frederick County may be required based on practice needs. In addition to hospital responsibilities, the provider will provide clinic coverage approximately once per month in the Randallstown location . This position also includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule , including weekend coverage at two affiliated hospitals. Long holiday weekends will be divided among all providers within the practice. We are seeking a provider who is clinically strong, dependable, and comfortable working independently while also functioning as part of a collaborative healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be interested in developing or continuing a career in the specialized field of Infectious Disease. Responsibilities Provide Infectious Disease consultations and follow-up care for hospitalized patients. Participate in daily hospital rounding and patient management. Evaluate patients, review laboratory and diagnostic results, and develop appropriate plans of care. Monitor patients receiving antimicrobial and other Infectious Disease treatments. Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic medical record. Communicate and coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, pharmacists, case management, and other members of the healthcare team. Work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekend coverage at two affiliated hospitals. Participate in shared coverage of long holiday weekends with all providers within the practice. Provide clinic coverage approximately once per month. Provide occasional coverage at affiliated facilities in Frederick County as needed. Schedule Full-time position Hospital-based Infectious Disease coverage with daily responsibilities Primary coverage in Baltimore County and Carroll County Occasional coverage in Frederick County , as needed Clinic coverage approximately once per month Rotating on-call schedule Rotating weekend coverage at two affiliated hospitals Long holiday weekends divided among all providers within the practice Qualifications Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland Current Nurse Practitioner certification Active DEA registration or ability to obtain Current ACLS certification Ability to obtain hospital privileges at affiliated facilities Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable working independently while also functioning as part of a collaborative healthcare team Experience in Infectious Disease, internal medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, or a related specialty is preferred but not required Preferred Qualifications Previous inpatient or hospital-based Nurse Practitioner experience Experience managing medically complex patients Interest or experience in antimicrobial therapy and Infectious Disease Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to manage a patient caseload efficiently in a hospital setting Benefits Competitive compensation, based on experience Health benefits 401(k) available Paid time off CME reimbursement Professional licensing and credentialing support provided by the office Medical liability insurance The Nurse Practitioner will maintain their own individual medical liability insurance policy, with the cost of the policy covered by the practice. The office provides support for required licensing, certification, credentialing, and related professional requirements. However, it is the provider's responsibility to ensure that all licenses, certifications, and required credentials remain current and up to date. Work Location This position will primarily provide Infectious Disease coverage in Baltimore County and Carroll County , with occasional coverage at affiliated facilities in Frederick County as needed. Travel between affiliated hospital locations within the practice's coverage area is required.

From $55.00 per hour
