Job Description

  • Locums | Neonatal Nurse Practitioner | No Call | Portland, ME
  • Why This Role
  • High-acuity NICU with strong physician and APP support
  • Flexible 12-hour shifts across days/nights
  • Long-term 9-month assignment with consistent volume
  • Assignment Details
  • Start:
    ASAP
  • Duration:
    9 months
  • Schedule:
    12-hour shifts (days and/or nights, includes weekends)
  • Coverage:
    No Call
  • Practice setting: Inpatient NICU
  • EMR:
    Epic
  • Clinical Details
  • 8-10 NICU patients + 10-12 step-down patients per provider
  • 31 NICU beds + 20 step-down beds (51 total)
  • ~950 admissions per year
  • Attend high-risk deliveries
  • Perform neonatal procedures (intubation, LPs, lines, thoracentesis, etc.)
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, and residents
  • Requirements
  • Board Certified Neonatal NP
  • Active ME license or IMLC
  • NRP certification
  • Epic experience
  • COVID & flu vaccination
  • Compensation
  • Rates:
    Facility is accepting bids
  • Malpractice:
    Included in rates
