In this role, you will provide expert clinical care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, osteoporosis, and metabolic syndromes. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care that promotes health, wellness, and disease management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative endocrine care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital signs measurement to evaluate endocrine health status. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and healthcare teams. Manage medication prescribing and administration, including insulin therapy, hormone replacement treatments, and other endocrine-related medications in accordance with DEA regulations. Perform diagnostic evaluations such as blood tests, laboratory specimen collection, sonography, and interpret results using ICD-10 coding standards for accurate documentation. Educate patients on disease management strategies, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-care techniques to optimize health outcomes. Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for comprehensive medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy standards. Assist in clinical research projects related to endocrinology to advance evidence-based practices and contribute to ongoing medical knowledge. Qualifications Current licensure as an Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with certification in endocrinology or relevant specialty. Proven experience working with patients in endocrinology or related fields such as internal medicine or pediatrics. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for efficient documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques pertinent to endocrine disorders. Experience administering injections (including botulinum toxin treatments), performing suturing, IV infusions, catheterizations, and sterile procedures. Familiarity with advanced practice provider collaborative practice agreements and understanding of medical-surgical care standards. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations across age groups including pediatric and geriatric patients. Additional experience in telehealth services, critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers, hospital medicine settings, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
