Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse medical settings. This role offers an opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and utilize advanced clinical skills to improve health outcomes. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing a broad scope of medical services, including acute and chronic care, preventive health, and specialized treatments. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, to inform accurate diagnoses. Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations. Perform advanced procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler administration while maintaining sterile technique. Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, critical care scenarios, infectious disease care, and geriatrics, including elderly and disabled populations. Utilize EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for detailed documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and medical records management. Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists (e.g., gastroenterology, ophthalmology), nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Provide telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to extend access to quality healthcare services remotely. Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at advancing evidence-based practices within the organization. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Demonstrated experience working across diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room settings, ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Extensive knowledge of physiology, pharmacology (including CPT coding), diagnostic evaluation techniques such as sonography or laboratory specimen processing. Experience administering injections (including botulinum toxin treatments), performing suturing or sterile procedures, and managing complex patient cases involving tube feeding or ventilator support. Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis codes such as ICD-10/ICD-9 and CPT coding for billing purposes. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with excellent client communication skills while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Prior experience in specialized fields such as hospice & palliative medicine, behavioral health, occupational health or neonatal intensive care is advantageous. $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
