Job Description
About the Role Carolina QuickCare is seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a clinic-based urgent care team in North Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site position providing acute and episodic care in a fast-paced, autonomous practice environment. Providers function as the sole clinical provider on-site and are expected to work independently, managing patient care decisions with confidence and sound clinical judgment. A support structure is in place, including established clinical protocols, a dedicated clinic support team, and access to clinical leadership and network resources. Onboarding includes a structured clinical orientation designed to set providers up for success from day one. Clinical Responsibilities Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute and episodic conditions. Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, wound care, and DOT physicals. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing, including in-house labs and imaging. Prescribe medications appropriately and provide patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive health. Document encounters thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with clinic staff to maintain efficient patient flow, quality outcomes, and a strong patient experience. Practice Environment Average patient volume of 3-4 patients per hour, supporting thorough evaluation, quality care, and complete documentation. Clinical leadership and network resources are accessible when needed. Fully equipped clinics with on-site diagnostics and Experity EMR. Established workflows and clinical protocols to support efficient, high-quality care delivery. Schedule Full-time, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Rotating weekends No on-call requirements Schedules are published in advance via a self-scheduling system Additional shifts are easily available via the scheduling app with time-and-a-half pay after 40 hours per week Compensation Hourly rate of $55-$70/hour based on experience, credentials, and clinic location. Annual equivalent of approximately $103K-$131K. Productivity incentives are available above base compensation. Signing and relocation bonuses may be offered based on clinic location and operational need. Providers interested in expanding their clinical footprint may also have access to shifts across multiple locations within the network.
