ASAP through March 2027 An established hospital-based surgical program in Northern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an immediate locum tenens assignment. This is a weekday inpatient opportunity offering a consistent schedule, no call, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of APPs and supervising physicians.

Position Highlights:

Monday-Friday schedule 7:00 AM-4:00 PM No call Approximately 15 patients per day, shared across the clinical team Inpatient wound care and OR exposure Collaborative APP and physician team Epic EMR Temporary privileging available Coverage available through March 2027

Clinical Responsibilities:

The APP will provide inpatient wound care consultation and follow-up, including: Rounding on new wound care consults Follow-up management of established patients Bedside wound debridement Participation in OR wound debridement Application and management of negative-pressure wound therapy/wound VACs Evaluation and optimization of patients requiring operative debridement Coordination of care with surgical and multidisciplinary teams

Candidate Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Active wound care certification required Current/recent hands-on wound care experience required Experience with wound debridement Experience with wound VAC/negative-pressure wound therapy Comfortable practicing in an inpatient surgical environment Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other APPs This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced wound care APP seeking a predictable weekday locum schedule with no call requirements and meaningful procedural involvement within a hospital-based surgical service.

Pay:

$100.00 - $120.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
