Psychiatric Provider (Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) - Per Diem Innerspace Counseling is New Jersey's premier intensive mental health program specialist serving children, adolescents, adults, and perinatal individuals with primary mental health diagnoses. Each of our patients receives individualized, high-quality care through a variety of evidence-based treatments, including but not limited to DBT and CBT. In each program, patients receive a psychiatric assessment and treatment plan, individual therapy, group therapy, family sessions, and medication management. Position Overview Innerspace Counseling is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and clinically strong Psychiatric Providerfor a per diem role. The provider will deliver care to children, adolescents, adults across our programs Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) with specialized tracks for General Mental Health, OCD & Anxiety, and Perinatal clients. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments for new patients, maintaining detailed and accurate patient records, providing medication management services, and delivering follow-up care on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on the level of care. This position will also provide coverage for other providers as needed. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure exceptional patient care and outcomes. Primary Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and make level-of-care determinations Assist in the treatment planning process as part of a multidisciplinary team Provide coverage for other providers as needed Provide medication counseling and treatment to children, adolescents, and adults (ages 8 and older) in the intensive outpatient and partial care settings Conduct follow-up appointments weekly or bi-weekly based on program requirements Collaborate with treatment team members and families to ensure the highest quality of patient care Coordinate with the utilization department to ensure sufficient clinical information is available to support treatment authorizations Complete peer-to-peer reviews with managed care organizations as needed Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation Attend weekly treatment team rounds to collaborate on patient care and treatment planning Qualifications Experience providing psychiatric care and treatment to youth, adolescents, and adults Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong empathy and ability to connect with patients and families from diverse backgrounds Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and clinical documentation requirements Specializations in OCD, Perinatal Wellness, Trauma or other mental health diagnoses strongly preferred Education, Licensure & Credential Requirements Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing psychiatric and mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults Master's degree, doctoral degree, or medical degree from an accredited institution, as applicable to licensure Current New Jersey licensure and credentials required to practice as a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Active DEA and CDS registration, as applicable Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions Familiarity with DSM criteria and crisis assessment techniques Experience providing medication management services across diverse patient populations Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Comfortable utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHRs) Demonstrated empathy and ability to effectively engage patients and families from diverse backgrounds

$100.00 - $250.00 per hour
