Job Description

Position Summary The Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) for the Lipids and Cardiometabolic Program partners with the Director to deliver comprehensive outpatient management of patients with dyslipidemia, obesity, and cardiometabolic disease. The APC plays a critical role in expanding patient access, optimizing evidence-based medical therapy, improving medication adherence and tolerance, and coordinating longitudinal follow-up for patients receiving advanced lipid-lowering and anti-obesity therapies. Working collaboratively with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and research staff, the APC independently manages established patients according to standardized protocols, provides patient education and shared decision-making, facilitates medication titration and prior authorization requirements, and supports enrollment into clinical research studies. The APC serves as a key member of a growing multidisciplinary program focused on cardiovascular risk reduction and prevention. Education and Qualifications Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience, primarily in area of specialty. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program as determined by the Committee on Allied Health. Education and Accreditation or a current Registered Professional Nurse and Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program/master's in nursing. Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Hold a valid, current New Jersey license. Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred. BLS Maintains up-to-date credentials including CV, License, DEA, CDS, Board Certification, ACLS certification preferred, documentation of hospital admitting privileges, copies of managed care contracts. Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges.
Salary :
Minimum new grad base salary $127,000 K. Salary commensurate with years of experience as an NP/PA. Generous w RVU production incentive.
