Nurse Practitioner - Gastroenterology (Part-Time)
Location:
Syracuse, NY Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and flexible Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology practice in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will provide outpatient care in the office 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the outpatient office setting, managing gastroenterological conditions such as IBD, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, GERD, and other digestive disorders. Perform diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-up care for patients undergoing procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care in both the office and hospital settings. Educate patients and families on gastroenterological conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with medical standards.
Schedule:
Office-based work 2-3 days per week providing outpatient care.
Qualifications:
Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State. Prior experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty is preferred. Strong clinical skills, with the ability to manage a variety of gastroenterological conditions independently. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, office staff, and hospital teams.
