We're looking for an outgoing, welcoming Patient Service Representative to be the first face our patients see! In this front desk role, you'll greet patients as they arrive, check them in, and help set the tone for a positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors.
Responsibilities:
General reception to include greeting patients and answering phone Check-in patients and verify appointment and billing information Schedule appointments Collect co-pays and co-insurance New Patient Intake & Registration Review paperwork for completeness Input patient demographic information in computer system Review benefits with patient Review missed appointment policy with patient Set-up FOTO Intake Survey Check-out patients and schedule follow-up appointments per the clinician's instructions Assist Clinical staff with follow-up FOTO status surveys Assist Central Billing Office (CBO) with Medical Records Request per Policy & Procedure Monitor/Track Plans of Care (POC's) for Certification Log discharged patients in computer system Scan documentation, prescriptions, protocols, flow sheets, HEP's, and other information into the patient (electronic) medical records Maintain Active Patient statistics and scheduled appointments Log discharged patients in computer system Other responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Minimum of two years of experience in customer service setting, preferably one year receptionist experience in a medical office. Knowledge of medical terminology Exceptional customer service skills required; Experience working with an EMR/PM required; Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; Highly organized with strong attention to detail; Quick thinker with ability to pivot in a fast-paced environment; Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment is a must;
