$125,000-$170,000 per year Job Description Korzen Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join and support the Wound Care Clinic program in the Rome, NY area in collaboration with Healogics and Rome Health . This is a full-time outpatient position focused on wound care and procedures . The role offers a predictable weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call. Who We're Looking For This position isn't for everyone. We are looking for an NP who has a genuine passion for wound care and enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on clinical environment. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives when things move quickly, enjoys evaluating and treating a wide variety of patients, and is comfortable making clinical decisions in a dynamic setting. Experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Department, or a similar fast-paced clinical environment is highly valued. Previous wound care experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. What matters most is strong clinical judgment, a willingness to learn, procedural confidence, adaptability, and a genuine interest in developing expertise in wound care. Position Highlights Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, daytime hours 100% outpatient wound care Procedure-focused practice No nights No weekends No on-call No holiday coverage Patients are seen by appointment only, no walk-ins Hospital-based wound care clinic Established clinical support team Sign-on bonus available Comprehensive wound care training provided Opportunity for professional growth and leadership Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner will provide evaluation and treatment for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic wounds.
Responsibilities include:
Performing comprehensive wound assessments Developing and managing individualized treatment plans Performing wound care procedures, including debridement Performing incision and drainage, suturing, and other minor procedures as appropriate Managing complex and chronic wounds Monitoring wound progress and adjusting treatment plans Collaborating with nursing staff and other members of the clinical team Providing patient and staff education Documenting patient care appropriately Training and Support Prior wound care experience is preferred, but it is not required for the right candidate. We will train qualified candidates who demonstrate strong clinical skills, a willingness to learn, and an interest in wound care.
Training and support may include:
Comprehensive wound care training Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) training Paid onboarding and clinical orientation Ongoing mentorship and support Training in wound-care procedures and advanced treatment techniques You will also have the support of an established clinical team, including: Case Manager Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses Office Manager Front and back office support staff Qualifications Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license Current DEA license Board-certified Nurse Practitioner Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Procedural experience preferred Experience with suturing, debridement, incision and drainage, or other hands-on procedures preferred Strong interest in wound care and willingness to learn Candidates without previous wound care experience may be considered and will receive training.
