Under general direction from clinic leadership, provide evaluation and treatment to urgent care patients. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and stabilizing patients with acute and episodic conditions across the lifespan.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and select chronic conditions for pediatric through geriatric patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including history, physical examination, and documentation
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies, ECGs, and radiographic imaging
- Develop and implement treatment plans; prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations and organizational policy
- Perform approved minor procedures, including wound care, suturing, splinting/casting, injections, immunizations, and infection management
- Provide patient education related to diagnosis, treatment, follow-up care, and health maintenance
- Consult and collaborate with supervising or collaborating physicians as clinically indicated
- Participate in occupational medicine services as assigned, including physical examinations, immunizations, and testing
- Maintain required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and clinical competencies
- Maintain a clean, organized, professional work environment and comply with clinical protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations
