  • 150,000 annually OR Base Salary + Productivity Bonus CommuniKare Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our established outpatient mental health and addiction treatment practice.

For more than 25 years , we have provided behavioral health and addiction treatment services to our community originally as a private practice and now as community behavioral health. We are a family-owned and operated practice that values long-term relationships with our patients and staff and strives to provide a supportive, team-oriented work environment. A Position Designed Around Patient Care — Not Administrative Headaches We want our providers to focus on what they were trained to do: take care of patients. CommuniKare provides the administrative and clinical infrastructure necessary to maintain a busy outpatient practice, including: Patient scheduling and appointment management Billing and collections Credentialing assistance Collaborative physician support Malpractice insurance Established patient population and referrals Administrative and office support Clinical support EHR and practice infrastructure Our goal is to remove as much of the administrative burden as possible so that our nurse practitioner can concentrate on providing excellent patient care. Position Responsibilities The PMHNP will provide psychiatric services to adult patients in an outpatient setting, including individuals receiving treatment for mental health and substance use disorders (AOD/SUD).

Responsibilities may include:

Psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments Medication management Follow-up psychiatric visits Treatment planning Management of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders Collaboration with counselors, therapists, physicians, and other members of the treatment team Appropriate documentation within the electronic health record Coordination of care when clinically indicated Experience treating individuals with addiction and co-occurring disorders is preferred; however, we are also interested in the right provider who is willing to expand their experience in this area. Schedule This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position with no on-call responsibilities . We would prefer a provider who is willing to work until approximately 6:00 or 7:00 PM at least two evenings per week to better accommodate patients who work during traditional business hours. Compensation Options We recognize that different providers value different compensation structures. For the right candidate, CommuniKare is willing to discuss one of two compensation options: Option 1

  • Traditional Salary $125,000
  • 150,000 annual salary , based upon experience, qualifications, and credentialing Predictable salaried compensation without productivity requirements beyond the expectations of the position Option 2
  • Base Salary + Productivity Incentive Competitive guaranteed base salary Additional compensation based upon mutually agreed-upon productivity goals Provides the opportunity for an experienced and productive provider to earn above the traditional salary range Productivity expectations and bonus structure will be clearly established and agreed upon prior to employment Our intention is simple: providers who want the security of a traditional salary can have it, while providers who prefer to be rewarded for additional productivity have an opportunity to increase their earnings.

We believe in being upfront about this while providing a work environment designed to offer providers stability, flexibility, strong clinical support, and substantially fewer administrative headaches.

Qualifications Required:

Current Ohio APRN license Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification Current NPI Active DEA registration Appropriate prescriptive authority Ability to provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management Ability and willingness to treat patients with both mental health and substance use disorders Preferred, but not required: Previous outpatient psychiatric experience Experience in addiction medicine or treatment of co-occurring disorders Current credentialing with Ohio Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and/or commercial insurance plans Knowledge in children and adolescents treatment
