On your schedule. We are a direct primary care practice in Springfield, Ohio, looking for a part-time nurse practitioner to run our fast track / urgent care visits. If you got into this profession to actually take care of people — and you're tired of 15-minute slots, RVU targets, and prior authorizations — read on. We don't bill insurance. That single fact changes everything about how this job feels: no coding pressure, no denials, no documentation written to satisfy a payer. You see the patient, you solve the problem, you move on. What you'll do Evaluate and treat acute, episodic complaints for members and employer-contract patients: URIs, UTIs, sinusitis, strep, minor injuries, rashes, GI complaints, sports and work injuries, and similar same-day concerns Perform and interpret in-office point-of-care testing Prescribe and manage treatment plans within your scope of practice Perform simple in-office procedures (laceration repair, I&D, splinting, joint injections) based on your comfort and experience Document efficiently in Elation EHR and communicate with patients through our secure messaging platform Coordinate with our primary care providers on anything that needs longitudinal follow-up Schedule 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM shifts Three weekdays per month plus weekend coverage Predictable, posted in advance, and built around your availability — this role exists because we want coverage that works for someone with another job, a young family, or a life outside of medicine Compensation and what we offer $65.00 per hour Roughly 70 hours per month Malpractice coverage provided Standard Care Arrangement and collaborating physician in place Fully staffed support: scheduler and medical assistant handle intake, rooming, and callbacks Genuine autonomy — you practice medicine, not documentation Growth path into functional medicine, hormone therapy, weight management, and employer health services if that interests you What we're looking for Required Active Ohio APRN license with Certificate to Prescribe (CTP) National certification as an FNP, AGACNP, or ENP Current DEA registration (or willingness to obtain) BLS certification Comfort managing undifferentiated acute complaints independently Preferred 1+ years of urgent care, emergency department, retail clinic, or fast track experience Procedural skills (suturing, I&D, splinting) Experience in a cash-pay, concierge, or DPC setting The right fit is an NP who values autonomy, works efficiently without cutting corners, and treats every patient like the visit matters — because in our model, it does.
