Locum Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)
Location:
Vandalia, OH Assignment Dates:

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Openings:
1 Overview We are seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide coverage in an outpatient Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care setting. The provider will evaluate and treat both scheduled and walk-in patients while delivering comprehensive occupational health and urgent care services. The ideal candidate will have experience managing work-related injuries, conducting employment and regulatory physical examinations, and performing common office-based procedures. This role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and clinic staff to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat occupational injuries and illnesses. Assess and manage workers' compensation cases. Provide urgent care services for walk-in and scheduled patients. Perform DOT, pre-employment, surveillance, public safety, and return-to-work physical examinations. Perform suturing and other office-based procedures. Communicate treatment plans and work status recommendations to employer clients. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation. Collaborate with physicians and clinic staff to ensure quality patient care. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. Current certification through the applicable professional organization. Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program (Master's degree required where applicable). Ability to practice independently and manage patients autonomously. Experience in Occupational Medicine. Experience in Urgent Care. Proficiency in office-based procedures. Ability to perform suturing independently. DOT Medical Examiner Certification required prior to start date. Required Skills Occupational Medicine experience Urgent Care experience Office-based procedure experience Independent clinical decision-making and patient management Suturing proficiency DOT Medical Examiner Certification (required prior to start) Preferred Qualifications Experience treating workers' compensation injuries. Experience performing DOT physicals. Experience conducting pre-employment and surveillance examinations. Previous Occupational Medicine clinic experience. Strong documentation and communication skills.
